John Bainer

Biography

John Bainer joined The Hollingsworth Companies in 2024 and serves as Vice President of Industrial Real Estate. John brings over 15 years of real estate experience and serves as the industry interface between potential clients and the Hollingsworth team. John has a background in leasing, transactional brokerage, development, and strategic real estate advisory.

Prior to joining The Hollingsworth Companies, John worked with Realty Trust Group where he provided real estate advisory services for healthcare leaders. John supported RTG's comprehensive real estate engagements and facilitated end-to-end real estate solutions for clients.

Before RTG, John was a Senior Associate with Stream Realty Partners in San Diego, California. He led the inception of Stream's San Diego retail and office leasing platform for tenant and landlord representation, valuation, consulting, and acquisition/disposition services.

Prior to Stream, John was an Associate Director of Portfolio Management for a public REIT, Realty Income Corporation. He was responsible for managing the portfolio's corporate industrial and retail lease expirations and renewals while focusing on enhancing asset level returns and mitigating portfolio risk across 4,500 properties. John led various transactions including negotiations for the company's corporate leasing efforts on approximately 300 assets between landlord and national credit tenants.

Earlier in John's career, he worked with a national net-leased investment sales group where he specialized in credit-tenant retail investments in the southeast.

John graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. He also received a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) degree from the University of San Diego.
